In a nutshell, the candidate should be passionate about the following things:
Solid understanding of the Ansible principles with an experience of infrastructure deployment. High code quality and creation experience for filters & modules are required.
Familiarity with GIT workflow and an ability for working with branches and pull-requests. Strong knowledge of rebasing and merging processes is essential.
Amazon AWS API working experience (specifically: VPC, RDS, EC2, ELB, EBS) is essential.
Hands on experience of the syntax and the basic Python libraries and scripts development, basic algorithmic knowledge, as well as ability of unit tests creation. The candidate should be able to understand and analyze someone else’s code.
Experience with the Linux platform (in particular Debian, CentOS, RHEL).
Knowledge of the theory for data networks building (OSI model, packet routing, IP protocol stack, routing protocols).
Bash: the candidate should have syntax knowledge, and a scripts development experience.
Good understanding of certain cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), as well as how they are virtualized and classified.
Working experience in networks, operating systems and application troubleshooting.
Intermediate level of English or above.
Would be a plus:
Working experience with the Atlassians infrastructure (JIRA, Confluence, Hipchat, Stash) products.
Experience for optimizing the systems performance upon a workload increase.
Previous experience in software development is an advantage.
Familiarity with Windows OS platform (ActiveDirectory, WSFC, SQLServer, Azure).
Development of the cloud-based deployment infrastructure systems on the basis of Ansible configuration management system.
Creation of the quality configuration scripts, undergoing further mandatory review.
By doing the job, youll be occasionally involved in certain R&D activities related to searching for an optimal solution in software systems automatic deployment and configuration.
You code for Ansible modifications may turn out to be in the main public open-source development branch of the system.
